What's her life's work?

Heather’s non-profit and private-sector journey to end poverty through the empowerment of women and children has spanned five continents.

The executive director of Toronto’s Crossroads International has worked in Canada, Bangladesh and Haiti in various senior positons, including at CARE Canada, BRAC, Save the Children and Newfoundland’s Bluedrop Learning Networks. The latter was recognized by the Clinton Global Initiative for helping marginalized young people and women find fulfilling work.

Meanwhile, Heather has extensive experience running an international consulting practice focused on leadership development and organizational culture.

What academic work set her up for success?

The keen executive has a master of business administration from Queen's University in Ontario and a bachelor of arts from Memorial University in Newfoundland.

Interesting tidbit

Heather lives with her two sons and husband, Gerry, in Toronto where she loves to follow pro sports, especially the Toronto Blue Jays.
