Celebrating the launch of Children Believe in Paraguay

Our country office in Paraguay joins two of our six global teams to assume our new name

Country director speaks at press conference

Our country office in Paraguay has officially become Children Believe (formerly Christian Children’s Fund of Canada), but staff will continue to draw from years of experience to help children dream fearlessly.

“We have made friendships, alliances that made it possible for thousands of boys and girls to have greater opportunities to develop their full potential, make their voices heard and realize their dreams,” said Jorge Mendez Rheineck, the country director of our Paraguay office, of his team’s 25-year history with the 60-year-old organization.

Today, our Paraguay program team works closely with government, communities, children and other local and global partners with a special focus on protecting children from violence and promoting their right to be heard.

Watch the animated video below, produced in Paraguay and voiced by the child of one of our partners. You’ll learn more about how Children Believe works to help children create brighter futures.

ABOUT CHILDREN BELIEVE (formerly Christian Children's Fund of Canada):

Children Believe works globally to empower children to dream fearlessly, stand up for what they believe in — and be heard. For 60 years, we’ve brought together brave young dreamers, caring supporters and partners, and unabashed idealists. Together, we’re driven by a common belief: creating access to education — inside and outside of classrooms — is the most powerful tool children can use to change their world.
