Clean water and sanitation should be available to everyone
Watch this UN video, which addresses questions about clean water and sanitation in developing countries
Clean water and sanitation is not often given a second thought in Canada, but billions of people around the world have an entirely different experience.
“Can you imagine waking up and not being able to go to a tap and turn it on and take a drink? You don’t have a toilet. You don’t have anywhere to relieve yourself,” explains Leanne Burney, a water and sanitation expert from United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, explaining the plight of too many people in developing countries.
Christian Children’s Fund of Canada continues to work towards meeting this goal through our work providing access to safe water, toilets and sanitation training to communities around the world.

ABOUT CHILDREN BELIEVE (formerly Christian Children's Fund of Canada):
Children Believe works globally to empower children to dream fearlessly, stand up for what they believe in — and be heard. For 60 years, we’ve brought together brave young dreamers, caring supporters and partners, and unabashed idealists. Together, we’re driven by a common belief: creating access to education — inside and outside of classrooms — is the most powerful tool children can use to change their world.
