COVID-19 pandemic update: how have we been helping?

Watch to learn how we’re helping children and families around the world access life’s essentials

As the world marks the pandemic’s one-year anniversary, we’re sharing a video update, which shows how our supporters have made it possible to help more than 680,000 children and adults stay safe during these challenging times.

Community members like Idalina from Paraguay are making it possible for the most vulnerable families to get the support they need. “Here we cover several surrounding communities that come to receive the food we cook… Our job is to reach children who need the most, to provide them with a little food…. thanks to Children Believe and partner Crecer,” she explains.

So far, we’ve supported more than 110,000 children and adults through the distribution of food and other basic essentials.

We’re also making sure students can access online education. “At this critical time ROPES (a local partner) and Children Believe have supplied tablets for CLC (creative learning centres) teachers in my village,” says Harika, a student from India.

Check out the video below to learn more about our work providing lifesaving education to reduce spread of the virus, PPE equipment, food rations, child production and education supplies during the pandemic.

Sharing is caring:

Children Believe works globally to empower children to dream fearlessly, stand up for what they believe in — and be heard. For 60+ years, we’ve brought together brave young dreamers, caring supporters and partners, and unabashed idealists. Together, we’re driven by a common belief: creating access to education — inside and outside of classrooms — is the most powerful tool children can use to change their world.

About ChildFund Alliance:

A member of ChildFund Alliance, Children Believe is part of a global network of child-focused development organizations working to create opportunities for children and youth, their families and communities. ChildFund helps nearly 23-million children and their families in 70 countries overcome poverty and underlying conditions that prevent children from achieving their full potential. We work to end violence against children; provide expertise in emergencies and disasters to ease the harmful impact on children and their communities; and engage children and youth to create lasting change and elevate their voices in decisions that affect their lives.
