Female students step up to study in male-dominated fields

Watch the video below to see girls in Nicaragua excited about their career choices

Youth shows tools on table
Female students in Nicaragua are speaking up for their right and desire to enter male-dominated fields of study in the Creative Associates International video below. “Women as much as men can pursue a technical career — can pursue any type of career,” says Maria, an industrial electricity student, in the video. At Christian Children’s Fund of Canada, we encourage girls and boys to pursue education and skills-building — from baking to mechanics — so youth can find lasting, full-time careers. Watch the video below to hear how confident girls are making positive change in their community. For more details on how you can support a youth business start-up, visit our gift catalogue.

ABOUT CHILDREN BELIEVE:

Children Believe works globally to empower children to dream fearlessly, stand up for what they believe in — and be heard. For 60+ years, we’ve brought together brave young dreamers, caring supporters and partners, and unabashed idealists. Together, we’re driven by a common belief: creating access to education — inside and outside of classrooms — is the most powerful tool children can use to change their world.
