Three words that best describe her
compassionate, curious, courageous
What’s her role and connection to the cause?
Nina Valentic’s committed to advocating with and supporting children and young people on their journey to overcoming barriers to accessing opportunities to realize their potential.
The director brings experience from child- and youth-centred organizations in the non-profit and social enterprise sectors in Canada, Europe, Africa and Asia. She’s enjoyed using innovative methodology in enhancing quality education and promoting child protection and participation. In Canada, Nina’s held senior business development and program impact positions at Right To Play and Save the Children.
In her role at Children Believe, Nina uses her skills in strategic and operational planning, cultivation of internal and external stakeholder relationships, partnership development and fundraising, program and proposal development for government and institutional funding as well as to advance our new business development strategy and funding partnerships globally.
What academic work set her up for success?
Nina’s experience is backed by a master of education in psychology from Croatia’s University of Zagreb and a master of adult education and community development from the University of Toronto. She also has a master of business administration certification in organizational behaviour and management accounting from the U.K.’s Heriot-Watt University.
