compassionate, curious, courageous
Nina’s committed to advocating with and supporting children and young people on their journey to overcoming barriers to accessing opportunities to realize their potential.
The director brings experience from child- and youth-centred organizations in the non-profit and social enterprise sectors in Canada, Europe, Africa and Asia. She’s enjoyed using innovative methodology in enhancing quality education and promoting child protection and participation. In Canada, Nina’s held senior business development and program impact positions at Right To Play and Save the Children.
In her role at Children Believe, Nina uses her skills in strategic and operational planning, cultivation of internal and external stakeholder relationships, partnership development and fundraising, program and proposal development for government and institutional funding as well as to advance our new business development strategy and funding partnerships globally.
Nina’s experience is backed by a master of education in psychology from Croatia’s University of Zagreb and a master of adult education and community development from the University of Toronto. She also has a master of business administration certification in organizational behaviour and management accounting from the U.K.’s Heriot-Watt University.
Nina loves cooking and sharing her globally influenced approach to good and healthy food with family and friends. When she’s not in the kitchen — or on the tennis court (another passion) — Nina can be found immersed in a good book.
