The UNESCO pre-event will highlight issues to be addressed at the UN’s Transforming Education Summit to be held in September by the United Nations. “The Summit [will be] a significant opportunity to spotlight the “silent” and “invisible” education crisis that has been exacerbated by school closures caused by COVID-19,” says Stefania Giannini, head of education at UNESCO.
Event participants at the September Summit will discuss how to recover pandemic-related learning losses, reimagine education systems and revitalize national and global efforts to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 4, which is a quality education for all.
At Children Believe, we help children access education, so they can achieve the extraordinary. During the past few years, we’ve helped children access education through the pandemic and continue to help break barriers — such as increased child marriages — keeping kids out of school.
Children Believe works globally to empower children to dream fearlessly, stand up for what they believe in — and be heard. For 60+ years, we’ve brought together brave young dreamers, caring supporters and partners, and unabashed idealists. Together, we’re driven by a common belief: creating access to education — inside and outside of classrooms — is the most powerful tool children can use to change their world.
