Raise awareness for Walk to School Day this October
- THE CHALLENGE: Walk your kids to school this October to celebrate International Walk to School Day (Oct. 6)
- WHY JOIN US? In communities we support, rugged terrain, scorching heat and the threat of violence, challenge a child’s long walk to school — ending learning opportunities for many.
How you can join us in giving
kids a path to education
- WALK AND TALK: On your walk, talk to your kid(s) about how lucky Canadians are to have safe paths to education, schools that offer nutritious meals, a safe place to learn and the foundation for healthy relationships. (More tips here)
- SPREAD THE MESSAGE: Share your journey to school using #TheLongWalk, #WalkToSchoolDay and #WalkAndTalk. Don’t forget to tag us on Facebook, Instagram and/or Twitter.
- GIVE SUPPORT: Walk alongside another child, and change a life through sponsorship. (Imagine what your kids will learn!)
