Anandhraj:
I am Anandhraj.
I was in the sponsorship program from 1995 to 2002.
It is hard to express in words what I think of my success in life.
I was happy to have a sponsor who supported me and lifted me in life.
I was uneducated. I would have been a child labourer working in a fireworks factory or printing press.
Only due to the support of the sponsorship program have I studied so much.
And, now I’m a successful lawyer.
Carlos:
My name Is Carlos Eduardo, and I’m 22 years old.
I’ve had my own barbershop for four years.
I cut hair for a living.
Since I was young my dream has always been to cut hair.
My inspiration came when I would go for a shave.
I was fascinated by how the hair was being cut, and I said to myself, one day I will be a barber.
Sponsors cannot imagine the happiness children feel when they get help.
We will always be full of gratitude for all the support they gave us, and we will always feel love towards them.
Sosina:
My name is Sosina Wudneh.
I have graduated from Samara University and hold a BA degree in accounting.
I’ve been employed at the Ethiopian Revenue and Customs Authority in Addis Ababa since 2008 and work as an auditor.
I have been able to get to this point in my life because of the support CCFC (Now known as Children Believe.) provided.
Due to this, I’m able to live a better life and support my younger siblings and family.
Vasantha:
My name is Vasantha.
I was enrolled in the sponsorship program when I was 10 years old and benefited from the program until I reached age 20.
I’ve achieved my dreams with the support of sponsors.
I was so happy.
I’m working as a field facilitator in the Saving Brains project.
My children wonder about my smiling face and happiness, and they love it very much.
I tell them CCFC (Now known as Children Believe.) is behind all of my boldness and happiness.
Eduardo:
My name is Eduardo.
Fifteen years ago, I was sponsored by Christian Children’s Fund of Canada. (Now known as Children Believe.)
I’m a nursing school graduate and a member of the staff at the Social Care Institute.
I’ve dedicated myself to the profession to help sick people.
I’m always going to be grateful to sponsors for giving me opportunities, for giving me hope, and for the support and love I’ve always received from you.
