Keep girls in school with feminine hygiene products. Period poverty robs girls of up to 20 percent of their school year, putting them at risk of falling behind and dropping out.
My name is Bharathamma. I am so happy my daughter, 18, is in school with access to menstrual pads. Life was different for me growing up. I missed a week of school each month and felt stuck in a never-ending loop of shame and failure. The frustration and helplessness were immense. In Grade 8, my teacher said catching up was impossible, so I made the painful decision to drop out. I wish all girls could attend school every day. Leaving school, a place where I found joy and hope, was overwhelming. Thanks to your support, my daughter and our community have access to hygiene products. I want the same for girls everywhere.

Spending of funds is confined to Children Believe approved programs and projects. Each contribution directed toward an approved program or project will be used as restricted with the understanding that when the need for such a program or project has been met, or cannot be completed for any reason as determined by Children Believe, the remaining restricted contributions will be in a like minded project or program, or used where most needed.
