Provide nutritious food and income. In communities facing food insecurity, parents often can’t afford more than one meal a day, leaving children weak and vulnerable.

My name is Jérôme and our family has very little. I left school in Grade 4 to find a better life. My friends were doing well in the gold mines, so I joined them to try my luck too. I dreamt of helping my family. At the gold site in Côte d’Ivoire I had to beg for food, go weeks without a bath and felt scorned. I spent a year wishing to go home. One day, my boss, high on drugs, ordered us to leave without pay. Back home, my friends had passed their exams and I wanted the same. I wished to escape my shame, help my family earn money and return to school.

Spending of funds is confined to Children Believe approved programs and projects. Each contribution directed toward an approved program or project will be used as restricted with the understanding that when the need for such a program or project has been met, or cannot be completed for any reason as determined by Children Believe, the remaining restricted contributions will be in a like minded project or program, or used where most needed.
