Why is ‘play’ an important part of a child’s development?

Teamwork, confidence, physical and social skills are just a few ways children learn through play. It’s why we loved shooting this video of kids in India playing and learning about themselves and the world around them.

The original song explains it all. “Believe in yourself, and help others believe, too,” sings the vocalist. “If you believe, you can succeed … you’ll be amazed by what you can do.”

At Children Believe, we support thriving communities, advancing child rights and protection so children have the space to play without any worries, gaining confidence to dream of a brighter future.

Play is important to a child’s development. Help support that today. Sponsor a child.

About Children Believe

Children Believe works globally to empower children to dream fearlessly, stand up for what they believe in — and be heard. For 60+ years, we’ve brought together brave young dreamers, caring supporters and partners, and unabashed idealists. Together, we’re driven by a common belief: creating access to education — inside and outside of classrooms — is the most powerful tool children can use to change their world.
