My mother is my inspiration. She had to drop out of school when she was younger, but as an adult she finished her degree. It motivated me and here I am at 19, in my second year of studying Educational Sciences.
When I complete my schooling, I would love to teach younger children. Last year I worked as a kindergarten teacher. It was good practice for my career and I was able to learn a lot of things. When I arrived at class, the children hugged me and gave me kisses. Once they even gave me a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
Choosing her future
The program helped me with schoolwork and explained things to me if I didn’t understand. I participated in many activities at the community centre, such as Children Believe’s forums, workshops and more. I would like to work one day as a teacher in the program at the community centre in early childhood development because I like that a lot of children go there and are happy to participate.
The program helped me grow as a person. They helped me know my rights and how to take care of myself and decide on my own future.
As a girl, I wanted to be a lawyer because I like to be upfront and don’t like being lied to. But I learned from my mother how to work with children, to help them however I can and make them smile.

Children Believe works globally to empower children to dream fearlessly, stand up for what they believe in — and be heard. For 60+ years, we’ve brought together brave young dreamers, caring supporters and partners, and unabashed idealists. Together, we’re driven by a common belief: creating access to education — inside and outside of classrooms — is the most powerful tool children can use to change their world.
A member of ChildFund Alliance, Children Believe is part of a global network of child-focused development organizations working to create opportunities for children and youth, their families and communities. ChildFund helps nearly 23-million children and their families in 70 countries overcome poverty and underlying conditions that prevent children from achieving their full potential. We work to end violence against children; provide expertise in emergencies and disasters to ease the harmful impact on children and their communities; and engage children and youth to create lasting change and elevate their voices in decisions that affect their lives.
