Toronto Star report offers window into life as a child bride

We believe in listening to the voice of the child, and a few girls had a chance to use their voice anonymously in a Toronto Star article, depicting the horrors of child, early and forced marriage.

“My father said if I refused this marriage I was no longer his child,” a 14-year-old told the Star. “He threatened my mother too … she has suffered because of me.”
