Report: goals exceeded in COVID-19 pandemic relief plan

Together with members across the ChildFund Alliance — of which we are one of 12 child-focused organizations — more children and family members were helped than expected during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the Alliance report Forward Strong.

“ChildFund (Alliance) reached more than 6.8-million children and family members and directed more than $100 million to COVID-19 relief efforts during the first year of the pandemic,” reads the report, which notes that the goal was to reach 6.3 million with $56 million.

The pandemic is still affecting millions across the globe, and the Alliance, including Children Believe and other members, continues to monitor the health and welfare of vulnerable children and their families.

Our combined response has followed four pillars:

• mitigating the spread of covid-19
• getting food to children and families
• keeping children safe from violence
• helping children continue their learning

At Children Believe, we provide food rations, personal-protective equipment, child-protection support and supplies for educational needs for vulnerable children and families.
