Youth to share impact of COVID-19 on their lives at webinar

Find out how we can help them overcome challenges aggravated by the pandemic

COVID-19 could send 86 million more children into household poverty by the end of the year, reports Save the Children and UNICEF. Youth share how this challenge impacts their lives at tomorrow’s webinar, “What Children Have to Say.”

You’ll meet 15-year-old Suganya (pictured), the leader of a community-based children’s club from rural India. She learned about her rights through Children Believe programming and has since contributed to stopping two child marriages and rescuing four children from child labour.

Three other youth advocates will also share how COVID-19 lockdowns have raised the risk of violence, hunger, child labour and child marriage in their communities. They will be joined by representatives from UNICEF and other Children Believe partners, including the event’s host organization — of which we are a member — the ChildFund Alliance.

Join the global community in working together to end abuse, exploitation and violence against children.

About Children Believe

Children Believe works globally to empower children to dream fearlessly, stand up for what they believe in — and be heard. For 60+ years, we’ve brought together brave young dreamers, caring supporters and partners, and unabashed idealists. Together, we’re driven by a common belief: creating access to education — inside and outside of classrooms — is the most powerful tool children can use to change their world.
